The University of Limerick (UL) situated in the Mid-West of Ireland on a beautiful parkland campus is a comprehensive university with a student population of 18000, 15% of which are international students. UL offers over 1000 classes in Humanities; Social Sciences; Science; Engineering; Education, and; Health Sciences. In addition students can take community-based accredited classes as well as volunteer opportunities. UL offers a wide range of supports for International students including a Global Engagement team; a UL Resident Director; a 7-day orientation program; a Buddy program, a Global Lounge, and a newly opening Student Center. In addition to supports there is an Olympic-sized swimming pool, running tracks, and Ireland's highest climbing wall with Olypimic routes; and acres of playing pitches. Housing is guaranteed and all houses are single-room occupancy with the option of en-suite facilities. UL was also the first Irish university to offer 'rainbow' housing for LGBQI+ students.
