SSA Education Abroad, formerly known as Spanish Studies Abroad, offers immersive learning experiences for North American university students in Spanish-speaking countries. Founded in 1969 in Seville, Spain, we run the Center for Cross-Cultural Study in the city’s historic center. Our programs have expanded to exciting locations, including Alicante and Barcelona in Spain, Havana, Cuba, Córdoba and Patagonia in Argentina, Panama City, Panama, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Students select SSA to enhance language fluency, experience diverse cultures, and earn university credit. We provide various options, including academic years, semesters, and short programs lasting four weeks in January, May, and summer. Most students live with local families, promoting cultural immersion and language proficiency. Additionally, SSA offers customized faculty-led learning programs, including study tours and trips designed to enrich the educational experience for both students and faculty, ensuring a comprehensive and rewarding academic journey.
