Global learning is a key outcome for today’s postsecondary learning. Yet, how do you know that the opportunities offered –study abroad, international internships, research, volunteer opportunities, and global dimensions in the curriculum and co-curriculum – are making the intended difference? The assessment of global experiences, learning processes and outcomes helps address accountability demands and can enrich offerings. This session introduces a basic assessment approach, including results from the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) Global Learning Topical Module as a broad frame, features insights from expert practitioners about what to measure, and then invites education abroad professionals to exchange ideas about how they assess global learning. Come ready to share your ideas, plans and questions!
