Join us to explore how the Fulbright Program intersects with academics, arts, and athletics, focusing on sports diplomacy and using athletics to foster international understanding and advance knowledge. The session will highlight examples of Fulbrighters using sports to create connections abroad, examine strategies for mobilizing campus resources, and discuss partnerships with external organizations. It will also cover integrating international student-athletes and post-experience pathways.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion, session participants will be able to articulate the role of sports diplomacy and deepen their insights into the Fulbright program.
Upon completion, participants will be able to identify key stakeholders on campus and external partners and resources.
Upon completion, participants will be equipped to share best practices and strategies for implementing sustainable sports diplomacy programs. They will gain insights into designing effective initiatives and providing resources that support student-athletes post-experience abroad.
Upon completion, participants will be use the tools and resources shared to leverage athletics as a vehicle for global education.
