According to the international norm ISO31030: Travel Risk Management, institutions must demonstrate that risk analysis and mitigation, as well as contingency plans, are integral to their practices. The session introduces scenario-based planning, and through a small-group activity, participants learn a simple and easy to implement in institutions of all sizes method to treat risks. Presenters inform on the preventive and reactive measures they integrated as part of their risk management practice.

Learning Objectives:

Apply scenario-based planning to foresee risky situations for their travellers.
Identify preventive measure that will reduce the probability of occurrence of a risky situation.
Identify subsequent measures decreasing the impacts of a risky situation that occurs.
Use the bow-tie method to treat travel risks and protect the integrity of their travellers.
