Canadian Employers: Preparing Tomorrow’s Workforce Today

Consider two data points: Over half of Toronto’s residents were born outside of Canada (City of Toronto). Only 3.1% of Canadian students study abroad each year (Universities Canada). Does this matter? Can education abroad or international experience help prepare the local workforce? Is the local workforce already global? Join this lively discussion with a panel of Canadian employers to dive into trends, consider recommendations, and challenge assumptions about preparing students for the future.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe key trends and relevant data related to the changing world of work in Canada and consider how these compare or contrast to global trends and data.
  • Explore local employers’ perspectives on the changing world of work and recommendations for preparing the future workforce across a range of industries and company types.
